Psych-STRATA held its Second Consortium Meeting

On 6 October 2023, the Psych-STRATA Consortium gathered in Barcelona to delve into the progress and future roadmap of the ambitious European research project aimed at transforming mental health treatments. The meeting, initiated by Professor Bernhard Baune’s presentation on the current standing of Psych-STRATA, transitioned into an interactive segment where partners shared updates and insights on various Work Packages (WPs).

The morning session was dedicated to summarising the WPs, discussing action items, and identifying the steps needed to expedite the project’s goals. While WP1 and WP2 explored the response definitions using RCT definitions, WP3 highlighted the ethics approvals needed to kickstart the project by January 2024. WP4 and WP5 were marked for future initiation, with preliminary group meetings for WP5 already in action. WP6, on the other hand, showcased a draft survey evaluating digital apps for continuous mental health assessments, alongside discussions on the novel mental health board and dissemination efforts, emphasising the importance of community feedback and contributions to the Psych-STRATA website.

The afternoon segmen focused on data collection, harmonisation, and sharing processes across WPs.

Moreover, the meeting fostered a collaborative spirit, encouraging exchanges between Psych-STRATA’s consortium partners and underscoring the Consortium’s commitment to tackling the hurdles and advancing towards a paradigm shift in mental health treatment approaches.

With a clear roadmap and actionable items laid out, the Psych-STRATA project is geared towards making significant strides in the coming months.
