The Psych-STRATA project, an initiative aimed at enhancing personalised treatment decisions for patients with mental health issues, was prominently featured at the Brain Innovation Days 2024. Held in Brussels on November 13-14, this year’s event, themed “Navigating the Brain Across a Lifetime,” attracted leading figures in brain research, innovation, and advocacy.
During the event, GAMIAN-Europe, a member of the Psych-STRATA consortium, hosted a booth where they distributed informative leaflets and engaged with attendees interested in the project’s objectives and methodologies. The booth served as a vital point for disseminating knowledge about Psych-STRATA’s goals.
The two-day conference facilitated a rich exchange of ideas and fostered partnerships across various sectors, highlighting cutting-edge advancements in neuroscience and the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing brain-related challenges through all stages of life. It provided an exceptional opportunity for leaders in brain health to connect and discuss sustainable solutions for advancing brain health globally.
Following this event, the project also made a significant impact at the 24th World Congress of Psychiatry (WCP 2024), which took place from November 14-17, 2024, in Mexico City. GAMIAN-Europe’s Executive Director, Nigel Olisa, and EU Research Project Manager, Erik Van der Eycken, represented the project at this global gathering. The congress convened mental health leaders, professionals, and advocates from around the world, creating a platform for sharing insights, fostering global collaboration, and shaping the future of psychiatry.
At the congress, GAMIAN-Europe maintained a booth that drew considerable interest from attendees. This engagement provided a fantastic opportunity to meet with numerous professionals and advocates, discuss our mission, and exchange innovative ideas on advancing mental health care.
